Dear Friends,

At Piedmont Women’s Center in 2009, more than 210 women who were considering abortion chose life. We praise God that through you, our dear friends and faithful supporters, He has poured out His mercy. Thank you for being channels of His love to hundreds of women and children.

As much as we rejoice in past victories, however, we cannot ignore the cultural forces that threaten them. Economic distress is triggering horrible choices, even as it fuels the abortion industry’s anti-life rhetoric. Pregnancy centers across the nation are being branded as fake clinics; some are facing lawsuits. The danger of publicly funded abortion is already upon us.

In such dark times we are called, not to hide, but to shine the more brightly. At Piedmont Women’s Center’s 19th annual Banquet for Life, we will have the opportunity to look honestly at the darkness that confronts us and to renew our compassion for those who see no escape from it. We’ll hear from Dr. Bruce Wilkinson , a man whom God has used to inspire hundreds of thousands worldwide to shine for Him. Together we’ll commit to upholding the light in our community. And through it all we’ll praise the Lord Jesus Christ, our glorious hope in this darkness, the Light of the World.
